Like many special events in Mushroom FM's history, the virtual meets reality as Mushroom FM relocates its cyber facilities to a new, purpose-built computer designed to serve us well into our second decade of entertaining you.

What do pickup trucks, trains, dysfunctional families, booze, and hound dogs have in common? Well, okay, not a lot, really, but there are those, such as my husband, who would claim that this is what country music is all about. I, on the other hand, intend to show you that this is simply not the case, with the Country Oasis, heard every Wednesday on Mushroom FM. Okay, there may be pickup trucks, trains, dysfunctional families, booze and hound dogs in some of the songs I play, but that's just coincidence, I assure you.

When I was a kid, I was fascinated by any radio station making a change. Whether it was a move to a new studio, a change of frequency or a new format, I wanted to be there for the moment of the transition to see what it was like. I think many blind people who have grown up with a love of radio feel the same.

That’s why we’re making a bit of an occasion out of a big change at Mushroom FM.

Yes, it's time once again for another encore presentation from the CBTH archives. This one's from this past June, and it features the amazing career and artistry of Buffy Saint-Marie, as well as some songs from Quebec. We were celebrating National Indigenous Peoples' Day here in Canada, as well as Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day in Quebec. It was an interesting episode for me to do, I think that Buffy's work is very topical right now, and I hope you enjoy reliving it, or perhaps living it for the very first time!
