We're Easing into Autumn, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Yes, here in the Northern hemisphere, the weather is turning cooler and there is even, here and there, the crunch of dry leaves underfoot. The true beauty of Autumn has not yet come upon us, but the season is here, so we'll be easin' into the season with some songs with an Autumnal theme, as well as other songs which have nothing to do with Autumn so the Kiwis don't accuse us of being Northern-Hemispherocentric or something. It'll be another episode sans features, but one thing it will most definitely not be sans is amazing Celtic and Folk music!

Sara Smiles will Happen Today, Sort of

Due to some technical difficulties, those listening to the noon Eastern edition of Sara Smiles today may get half the show or no show at all. However, those listening to the replay should get the full Monty, as it were. sorry about this, but it was a silly wi-fi issue here at my parents' house which caused the buggaboo. I sincerely hope it is fixed now, and I equally sincerely apologize for the annoyance.

It's a Blast from the Past, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Life has caught up to me this week, but don't worry! You're still getting three hours of Come by the Hills, this week from September 23, 2018. We'll hear some old promos, the usual banter, and of course some great Celtic music! I hope to be back next week with a brand new show, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy this blast from the past!

It's Straight-up Folk Fabulousness, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Yes, Sunday is the day for Celtic Music here on Mushroom FM. I'm coming at you with another three thrilling hours of Celtic and Folk sounds on Come by the Hills, touted (by me if by no one else) as Mushroom FM's premier Celtic music show! For a change, we're going to ditch our usual features and just have a great time with some great music.

Funky Folky Fun as Usual, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Well, the excitement of the 3-day Novel Contest being over, I have no further excuse to recycle our episodes, unless of course I want to boost Mushroom FM's reputation for environmental ethics, which, I hasten to add, needs no boosting whatsoever. This is all just a very convoluted way of saying that I've got a new Come by the Hills episode for you on Sunday at 8:00 PM Eastern. All our features are firmly in place, including a Celtic Cover I've been thinking about for some time now and a cracking set for Fiddlin' Around by Patrick Street!

Encore! Encore! This Week on Come by the Hills!

Join me on Sunday for an encore presentation of Come by the Hills from September 2, 2018! It'll be great, including some moments of unexpected silence when I failed to realize that a track I played had some of those annoying bonus tracks tacked onto the end of it. Remember when those hidden tracks on CDs were a thing? Despite my inadvertent homage to Simon and Garfunkel, there'll be the usual lot of great music and interesting banter.

Three Hours of Amazing Folk Music, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Yes, we're back for another week with great Celtic and Folk music. There was a bumper crop of Folk-related dramas and documentaries on the BBC IPlayer this week, so I'll be discussing those and playing all our usual features. So, join me tonight at 8:00 PM Eastern, or check out the replay on Friday at 4:00 AM Eastern, 9:00 AM in the UK and Ireland. There's also an archive of past shows available at http://www.mushroomfm.com/sarahillis. Tune in and enjoy!

Three Years of Livin' the Dream, This Week on Come by the Hills!

August 21 is an auspicious day! Not only is it Bonnie Mosen's birthday, but it is also the third anniversary of the first episode of Mushroom Fm's premier Celtic music show, Come by the Hills! So, this Sunday, we'll be reflecting and remembering, playing music that got me interested in the Celtic sound in the first place (almost 25 years ago now), and generally having an awesome time!

Another Sunday, More Great Celtic Music, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Yes, Mushroom Fm's premier Celtic music show is back for another week. Never mind that it's Mushroom Fm's only Celtic music show. Go big or Go home, I say. Accordingly, we'll be coming to you again on Sunday at 8:00 PM Eastern, right after Airplay Rewind, with three hours of folky favourites from around the world, with a healthy dose of Canadian music in the mix as usual. We'll be revisiting a lovely Beatles cover in honour of the recently-announced Abbey Road remix which is due to come out this September, and in general, it'll be a great time as always.

Fabulous Folk in the Offing Again, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Yes, we're back for another week of great Celtic and Folk music. Join me on Sunday at 8:00 PM Eastern for all our usual features and a lot of other amazing tunes! We'll give a nod to my new passion, the game of Cricket and The Ashes tournament between England and Australia, but only a slight one. Really, it'll just be three hours of awesome artists and brilliant bands as usual.
