Remembering Trini Lopez this week on The Early Years!

Affter you've enjoyed Mosen At Large, Mushroom FM's premier tech magazine and opinion show, this afternoon from 02:00 to 05:00, during which I hope all your questions get answered, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac or smart speaker and join me in The Early Years where and when you'll enjoy the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades and genres.
The 50s, 60s and 1970 are represented this week. Most of the show is a tribute to Trini Lopez, whom we lost August 11 as the result of complications from COVID-19. He was 83.
I'll play his 13 charting songs, some of which were covers of earlier hits, along with those earlier versions. You may be surprised to learn that several of Trini Lopez's hits charted higher than the versions we probably know better today.
I'll finish the show with four songs from 1970 that didn't make the top 100 of the year, which countdown I'll begin next week.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway, in The Early Years, this afternoon at 05:00 when I pay tribute to Trini Lopez and hopefully wet your appetite for the top 100 of 1970, after Mosen At Large and before Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders. The show replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM after Deep Dive with Graeme Innes and before Anthony Unleashed, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories!
