New Promo, Usual Come By The Hills!
This week I finally decided to get to work on a new promo for Come By The Hills, but even though the promo is all new, the show is still the same, or nearly so at any rate. Because next week is going to be the St. Patty's day episode, I decided to keep this week's episode pretty low-key. We'll have a nice hymn by John Bunyan in "Celtic Covers" and a couple of amazing tunes by Gaelic Storm in "Fiddlin' Around," and instead of "What's That About?" which is on hiatus for a bit, we'll have another feature I've decided to call "Me Music." This is where I feature a song of mine and tell you all about where to get it. The reason I'm doing this is that I am notorious for underselling myself as a musician, and I want to try to break out of that pattern. See? Even now I'm justifying myself. :) Oh well, I hope you enjoy this new feature.
Actually, talking of St. Patty's Day, it would of course be easy to do an all-Irish episode in honour of the great man, but perhaps because the day has become such a huge thing all over the world, it would be interesting to plan something else as a theme. Far be it from Come By The Hills to follow the crowd in everything. :) So, if you have any ideas for a quirky St. Patty's Day musical celebration, do let me know in the usual ways.
This week, however, is the calm before all the green beer and such. So join me on Sunday night at 8:00 PM Eastern, or on Friday morning at 4:00 AM Eastern for the replay, for a rather chill and mellow edition of Come By The Hills!
