It's Officially Autumn This Week on Come by the Hills!

Yes, the wind is crisping up and the trees are getting ready to shed their leaves, and we're celebrating (well sort of celebrating) Autumn this week on Come by the Hills, the Celtic Music Show. In reality, we will have a few songs throughout the show that have to do with Autumn or that have an Autumnal tone, but generally, it's just another three hours of some of the best in Celtic music from around the world.

We'll have a healthy dose of Canadian content as always, but there will be interesting selections from other parts of the Celtic world. We'll have a Scotsman singing about Australia, we'll have some Celtic guitar with Indian Tablas along for the ride, and we'll even have--no, I'm not joking--some Celtic Doo-wop!

September means a very special birthday for those who love vintage fantasy literature, and we'll celebrate that birthday in the second hour. We'll have an extended edition of "Celtic Covers" when I'll ask you to put on your musical analysis hats, and we'll have some fine fiddling with a modern sound in our "Fiddlin' Around" feature. Of course, there's also "What's That About?" to deal with, and I have to say that when I learned the answer to this week's selection, I was sort of disappointed. I wonder how you'll feel about it?

I hope you'll join me at 8:00 PM Eastern on Sunday night, or else catch me on the replay on Friday at 4:00 AM Eastern, 9:00 AM in the UK and Ireland. Whenever you're able to catch the show, I hope you'll enjoy it!
