The Billboard top 100 of 1956 finishes this week on The Early Years!

It's the 10th anniversary of The Early Years on Mushroom FM the day the show replays, Friday, September 25. There have been interruptions over the years and I thank all those who filled in for me when they happened. The show started Sunday from 6 PM to 8 PM before "Come By the Hills" with Sara. Both of us have moved around over the years but she's now back where she started. I thought I would have to give up the show permanently in January 2025 but I was able to come back at the current time May 7 of that year and I've been with you ever since with no interruptions or repeats so far.
A single year remains in focus as I finish the earliest chart I've yet done, the first Billboard top 100 chart from 1956, 70 years ago! Before that, the Billboard year-end charts were top 30s, 20s and 10s. Last week, I got from #45 to #18. This week, after celebrating the arrival of Autumn with one song, I'll pick up the countdown at #17 and continue to #1. Any thoughts as to what it might be?
After I finish the chart, I'll play some songs that didn't make the top 100 of 1956. I'll continue playing more such songs next week.
