Movie 1: The Great Gatsby (1974)
The Great Gatsby is a lavish romantic drama directed by Jack Clayton, adapted from F. Scott Fitzgerald’s classic 1925 novel.
Set in the opulent world of Long Island during the Roaring Twenties, the story follows Jay Gatsby, a mysterious millionaire who throws extravagant parties
in the hope of rekindling a past romance with Daisy Buchanan. Narrated by Nick Carraway, the film delves into themes of love, wealth, illusion, and the
American Dream, all set against a backdrop of jazz, decadence, and social change.
Robert Redford gives a charismatic performance as Gatsby, while Mia Farrow plays the conflicted Daisy. The film won two Academy Awards, for Best Costume
Design and Best Music (Scoring), reflecting its attention to the glamour and atmosphere of the Jazz Age.

Movie 2: The Rocky Horror Picture Show (1975)

The film begins with newly engaged couple Brad and Janet seeking shelter after their car breaks down, only to stumble upon the bizarre mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter,
a flamboyant scientist from another planet. What follows is a riotous mix of camp, rock music, outrageous costumes, and unapologetic celebration of individuality
and sexual liberation.
Though initially a modest release, the film became a worldwide cult phenomenon, famous for its midnight screenings, audience participation, and enduring
status as the longest-running theatrical release in film history. Tim Curry’s unforgettable performance as Frank-N-Furter is at the heart of the film’s
enduring appeal.
