Movie 1: Unforgiven
Unforgiven is a 1992 American Revisionist Western film directed by and starring Clint Eastwood, with a screenplay by David Webb Peoples.
The film explores themes of violence, redemption, and the harsh realities of the Old West, subverting traditional Western tropes.
The story follows William Munny, a retired gunslinger turned farmer, who is drawn back into his violent past when he takes on a bounty-hunting job to avenge an assaulted prostitute.
Accompanied by his old partner Ned Logan and a young gunslinger called the Schofield Kid, Munny must confront his past deeds and the brutal consequences of his actions.
Upon its release, Unforgiven was met with critical acclaim and won four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director for Eastwood.
The film is widely considered one of the greatest Westerns ever made.

Movie 2: The Quick and the Dead
The Quick and the Dead is a 1995 American Revisionist Western directed by Sam Raimi and written by Simon Moore.
Known for its stylish cinematography and unique visual flair, the film blends classic Western themes with Raimi’s signature dynamic camera work and exaggerated action sequences.
The story follows a mysterious female gunslinger, Ellen, known as “The Lady,” who arrives in the town of Redemption to enter a deadly quick-draw tournament. As the competition progresses, it becomes clear that she has a personal vendetta against the town’s ruthless ruler, John Herod.
The film features an ensemble cast, including Sharon Stone, Gene Hackman, Russell Crowe, and Leonardo DiCaprio.
Though it received mixed reviews upon release, The Quick and the Dead has since gained a cult following for its inventive style and strong performances.
