The top 600 songs of the 60s continues this week on The Early Years!
After you've enjoyed Decades in HD with PJ Noce tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 PM to 05:00 PM, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac, smart speaker or tablet and join me for The Early Years, where and when you'll hear the best music from the first quarter century of Rock with occasional nods to other decades and genres.
This week, I continue the Sirius XM Radio's top 600 songs of the 60s, first aired on their 60s on 6 channel in 2019, which no longer exists as a result of rebranding. I'll pick up the countdown at #318 and continue to #290. I still have a long way to get to #1. Any guesses as to what it might be?
I'll take a break next week from this countdown to celebrate the total eclipse of the sun that will take place worldwide Monday, April 8. For the first time since 1349, 674 years ago, Kingston, Ontario, Canada, where I live, will be in the eclipse's path of totality. That won't happen again until 2399! I'll play songs about all kinds of eclipses and the elements that make up a solar eclipse, the sun, the moon and the earth, and how they're affected during an eclipse. You're welcome to suggest appropriate songs.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway, for The Early Years, when I make musical and magical memories continuing the top 600 songs of the 60s, tomorrow afternoon at 05:00, after Decades in HD with PJ Noce and Before Snow White FM with The Snowman. Then stay tuned for Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders, this week featuring one hit wonders from 1971, the best year of my life, followed by his newest Mushroom FM show, Dan Sweeney's #1 Music.
