Celebrating Seven Years of Folk and Celtic Fun, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Way back on August 8, 2016, I wrote this:

"Exciting news! The Celts will soon be invading the home of the fun guys! For three hours every Sunday night, jigs, reels and balads will be the order of the day as I serve up the best in Celtic music from around the world. Not only will I be playing traditional favourites which defined the genre, but also new songs inspired by tradition which have changed it forever.

There will be lots of fun features for you to enjoy, interesting info about your favourite artists and groups, and of course plenty of room for your requests.

While the show is not being produced live for now, I will be available via email and Twitter both during and afterward, and any requests you send in will be played on an upcoming episode.

This music has been my passion for over twenty years, and if it's your passion too, I hope you'll tune in starting on Sunday, August 21, from 8:00 PM till 11:00 PM Eastern, for Come by the Hills: the Celtic Music Show with Sara Hillis.

What's the first show going to be about? Check back here soon for more details and start counting the days to the Celtic invasion!"

That was seven years ago, and a lot has happened in that time. Not only has the show changed its time slot, but it has also gone live! To be fair, it went live before changing its time slot, but you get my point; a lot of things have changed. However, I hope that what has not changed is the quality of the music and the fun that all of us Hillsians have every week as we hang out together in the virtual kitchen (I picture a big farm kitchen) and have a great time! So, how are we going to celebrate? The only way I know how! We'll play lots of awesome Folk and Celtic music, including a couple of songs that mention "seven years," and a few songs that we played on our very first show. So join me, won't you?

Catch Come by the Hills live on Saturday at 2:00 PM Eastern, or check out the replay on Tuesday at 5:00 AM Eastern! It will be available as well for on-demand listening at https://www.mixcloud.com/sarahillis. However and whenever you listen, I hope you'll enjoy it!
