Introducing the Newest Show on Mushroom FM: The Song Remembers When

My name is Melissa Riccobono, and I am thrilled to be the newest "fun guy" on Mushroom FM! I will be hosting a show called The Song Remembers When on Sunday's from 4-6 pm eastern. The Song Remembers When will feature a new theme each week. I will, of course, play music which fits into the theme, but I will also share the memories each song elicits for me, and, I hope, the memories the music brings to you, the listener. Music has the power to bring back memories, thoughts of special people, different experiences, etc. in ways nothing else can. At least that's the way music works in my life, and I'm sure it is true for you as well. This week the theme will be songs which remind me of my early childhood. Next week, the theme will be music from movies. This show will not be successful without all of you! Please contact me, give me feedback on the show, and, most important, let me know songs that remind you of your early childhood, or movie songs I should play for you next week. I also do a great deal of volunteer work with the National Federation of the blind, and am particularly passionate about working with blind children and their families, and blind parents.
