It's Robby Burns and All Things Scottish, this Week on Come by the Hills!
Yes, it's almost that time of January again, time to dust off the kilts and dig into the Haggis and celebrate the man whose poetry and song have made Scotland famous the world over. Yes, it's Robby Burns Day on January 25, so we're doing our usual celebrations this week on Come by the Hills. Known as the peasant poet, Robert Burns wrote poetry about love, nature, politics and many other aspects of Scottish life as he knew it. In honour of his contribution to Scottish culture both in Scotland and beyond, this week, I'll be playing many of the songs he collected and some of the poems he wrote, and generally celebrating Scotland as we typicaly do on Burns night. So tak a wee dram o' your favourite whisky and join me, won't you?
Catch Come by the Hills live on Saturday at 2:00 PM Eastern, or check out the replay on Tuesday at 5:00 AM Eastern. However and whenever you listen, I hope you'll enjoy it!
