Tributes this week on The Early Years!

Affter you've enjoyed Mosen At Large, Mushroom FM's premier opinion show, tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 to 05:00, during which I hope all your questions get answered and all your opinions get heard, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac or smart speaker and join me in The Early Years where and when you'll enjoy the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades and genres.
The afore-mentioned opinion show is hosted by Jonathan Mosen, founder and director of Mushroom FM, whose generosity and longstanding commitment to internet radio has enabled me to do this show for almost five years. Tomorrow is his birthday and I will pay tribute to him by playing a song that doesn't tickle his fancy particularly. Undoubtedly, he will enjoy Bonnie's present more than mine but the devil made me do it. (Jonathan once asked me if I'd ever been fired on-air. There's a first time for everything.)
No version comparisons this week. Instead, I will pay tribute to two entertainers who passed away April 14 and April 19 respectively, Rusty Young of Poco, and Jim Steinman, whose songs have been recorded by many artists. I also note the passing of Les McKeown of The Bay City Rollers on April 20 at the young age of 65. I'll play a few of their songs next week.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway, in The Early Years, tomorrow afternoon at 05:00, after Mosen At Large and before Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders. The show replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM after Deep Dive with Graeme Innes and before Anthony Unleashed with Anthony Horvath, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories!
