Songs about mining and minerals this week on The Early Years!

Affter you've enjoyed Mosen At Large, Mushroom FM's premier opinion show, tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 to 05:00, during which I hope all your questions get answered and all your opinions get heard, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac or smart speaker and join me in The Early Years where and when you'll enjoy the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades and genres.
It's more than a nod to other decades and genres this week as I replay part 1 of my two-part, listener-suggested theme, "songs about mining and minerals" originally broadcast Jan. 18, 2020 BC (before COVID).
First, however, I'll pay a brief tribute to two entertainers who passed away in the two weeks leading up to the original airing of this week's show.
Songs about mining and minerals will include music from the 1930s to the 1970s from the country, folk, pop and rock genres including some "stretches" as I often like to refer to them.
Any temporal references during this week's show were current Jan. 18, 2020, including the start time of The Early Years at 06:00 PM not 05:00 PM as it is now. That change would happen three weeks later.
Part 2 of Songs about mining and minerals will air next week at the same time.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway, in The Early Years, tomorrow afternoon at 05:00 for an encore presentation of "songs about mining and minerals", after Mosen At Large and before Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders. The show replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM after Deep Dive with Graeme Innes and before Anthony Unleashed with Anthony Horvath, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories!
