Friends and tributes this week on The Early Years!
Affter you've enjoyed a Mushroom FM Request stop tomorrow afternoon from 02:00 to 05:00 in place of Mosen At Large, don't touch that dial, device, PC, Mac or smart speaker and join me in The Early Years where and when you'll enjoy the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades and genres.
A mystery presenter will introduce This week's show which sparked a theme idea that I haven't done before - songs about friends and friendship which will last just over half an hour.
The rest of the show will pay tribute to two artists who left us recently, Phyllis McGuire, the last remaining McGuire Sister, and Gerry Marsden of Gerry and The Pacemakers. For his tribute, I'm replaying Jonathan's tribute that he broadcast Jan. 4 in hour 2.
You can contact me any time by email at steve at mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway, in The Early Years, tomorrow afternoon at 05:00 for songs about friends and friendship and tributes to Phyllis McGuire of The McGuire sisters and Gerry Marsden of Gerry and The Pacemakers, guest hosted by Jonathan Mosen, after A Mushroom FM Request Stop in place of Mosen At Large which will return Jan. 23, and before Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders. The show replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM after Deep Dive with Graeme Innes and before a Mushroom FM Request Stop while Anthony enjoys a well-earned vacation, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories!
