Two ways we'd love you to celebrate our 10th birthday with us
It's a big weekend coming up for Mushroom FM as we turn 10. We've been working hard on special celebratory programming. Like all that we do, it's all about our Mushroom Crowd.
It all begins on Saturday at 2 PM US Eastern time, when it will be exactly 10 years ago that Mushroom FM began with its opening programme, a documentary introducing the station. At that time, we’ll be featuring a programme looking back at the last 10 years and celebrating all we’ve achieved. If you're a radio history buff or you just have fond memories of Mushroom FM, there'll be plenty of delving into our extensive archive for this one.
During the current international crisis, even listeners who haven’t checked in with us for a while have come back to Mushroom FM and been reminded of the familiar voices and sense of community that all of us, fun guys and listeners together, have built.
Whether you’ve worked with us at some point over the last 10 years or have been part of the Mushroom Crowd, we’d love to get your message containing any congratulations and memories you wish to offer.
You can either write down your thoughts or record them yourself in audio form, and email them to Jonathan at MushroomFM.com.
Alternatively, leave us a message on our listener line in the USA, +1-864-606-6736.
To help us put what will be a very busy programme together, we’d appreciate it if you could get your contributions for this show to us no later than 11:59 PM Eastern time on Friday.
But that's only the beginning. The day after, it's another classic Mushroom FM event.
One of our most popular events during the last 10 years has been our attempt to create a live music festival without the horrible conditions and the bad food, but with some acts you thought would never perform again. Join us on 26 April at 8 AM Eastern for our longest, most ambitious Mushroomstock yet, a 12 hour music festival featuring live 20 minute sets from some of the biggest names in music, anchored by some of your favourite fun guys. Interact with the rest of the audience by using the MushroomFM hashtag on Twitter, or just crank up your best speakers for a sonic spectacular where no physical distancing is necessary.
To get your ticket for Mushroomstock, you just have to visit http://MushroomFM.com/Mushroomstock2020 and ensure that you, your family and friends all have a ticket. Then join us to find out which 24 acts will be performing live from Fungus Field.
We are all very grateful for your support since we started 10 years ago, and look forward to spending this very special weekend with you as we begin our second decade.
