Jaw-dropping songs this week on The Early Years!

join me for The Early Years where you'll hear the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades and genres.
When I welcomed back the Mushroom FM New Zealand contingent a couple of weeks ago, I suggested that my time for a break might be coming. I didn't know it would be so soon but I've decided to take February off. As a result, there will be no new shows this month but fear not, friends, because you'll still be entertained.
Between June 10 and September 30, 2018, I did five shows featuring "jaw-dropping songs". What are "jaw-dropping songs"? As defined by a regular listener, jaw-dropping songs are songs that made you stop and listen the first time you heard them, whether you ultimately liked them or not; or songs that made you say, "what the frig!" (or perhaps something stronger!)
Eight listeners sent me lists of their jaw-droppping songs and they represent quite a musical variety. I'll begin playing them tonight and continue them on the following four Saturdays during the month of February. There will be a new part 6 March 7.
Because this series originally ran on Sunday, references to other Mushroom FM shows and other things may be out-of-date; although the Sunday night lineup is still the same except that The Early Years is now on Saturday as regular listeners know.
You can contact me any time by email at steve@mushroomfm.com with comments about the show and suggestions for future shows; and anything else you want to talk about as well.
So join me, Steve Cutway, in The Early Years, for "jaw-dropping songs", tonight at 06:00 PM, after "Dan Sweeney's One Hit Wonders" and before "Snow White FM". The show replays Wednesday morning at 07:00 AM, before Anthony Unleashed, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories!
