It's the end of an era, the final Mosen Explosion Sunday show
When you were a kid, did you ever demand something of one of your parents, only to be told by the frustrated parental unit to hold on because they couldn’t be in two places at once?
Well luckily for you, I’m not your parent, unless of course you’re one of the bananas and you’re reading this, but in that case, you already know I’m your parent, and you already know I can’t be in two places at once because I’ve told you that before. However, for the rest of you, those of you for whom I do not take parental responsibility, and that’s the vast majority of you, I must now reveal that I can’t be in two places at once.
And it is for this reason, the reason being that I can’t be in two places at once, that it’s the final Mosen Explosion show in the current time slot.
I’m taking the merry month of May to recharge and spend some quality time with the lovely Bonnie before I begin my new job, which will observe New Zealand hours. Since the current Mosen Explosion time slot equates to Monday mornings here in New Zealand, it must be moved. Yup, you can stage all the sit-ins you want singing “We shall not be moved”, but moved it shall be, there is no alternative.
Starting on 1 June, the Mosen Explosion will be exactly 24 hours ahead of its former time slot, and air on Saturdays at 2 Pm Eastern, which is Sunday morning for me. Golly!
So on this final show in the present slot, we’ll be playing a few songs about Sundays. There are quite a few to be found actually.
There’ll be the usual chance for you to say hello via Twitter, Facebook, email and the listener line. Bonnie will be here with her bulletin, and we’ll look back on this day in history.
So, let’s do this thang one more time in the old slot. The Mosen Explosion coming your way at 2 Pm Eastern, 7 PM in the UK, Monday at 6 AM NZ time, only on the mighty Mushroom FM.
