A musical variety tonight on The Early Years!
Join me for The Early Years where you'll enjoy the best variety of music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) with an occasional nod to other decades including music from before the rock era.
Fifty years ago today, Sept. 30, 1968, I began the activity that would shape the rest of my life. I'll tell you about it while I play the top 5 songs that were on the Billboard Top 100 at this time in September 1968; songs I was listening to on the radio in my earliest days of adjustment to university life. After that, I'll do some catch-up playing a listener-suggested version comparison, an artist twin spin from 1958, and continue listener-suggested jaw-dropping songs.
You can contact me any time by e-mail at steve@mushroomfm.com with comments about tonight's show and suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway for the best music from Rock and Roll's Golden Age (its first quarter century) this week) on The Early Years, tonight at 6 PM Eastern Time, after the Mosen Explosion and before Come By The Hills with Sara Hillis. If you miss the show tonight, catch its replay Wednesday morning at 7 AM Eastern Time, on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of musical mushroom memories!
