A Tribute to Stan Rogers, this Week on Come by the Hills!

Due to the overwhelming success of the Stan Rogers special I put together last year, I've decided to do another one on the occasion of the thirty-fifth anniversary of his far-too-untimely death on June 2, 1983. Stan Rogers is likely Canada's most beloved folk musician and his work and legacy have been ambassadors of the Canadian spirit for decades. His music is known world-wide, and his influence can be traced down the years. I'm sure that many of Canada's current singer-songwriters owe their own careers to Stan's music.

So, we're doing away with our usual features to devote most of our three hours to Stan and his incredible talent. We'll also hear a few covers of his work by other artists, and of course we'll have some foot-stomping fiddle tunes along the way as well.

So, if you're in the mood for some great folk music, tune in on Sunday night right after Steve and The Early Years, or on Friday at 4:00 AM Eastern, 9:00 AM in the UK and Ireland, immediately following Jonathan and The Daily Fibre!
