About Me
Hi, I’m Scott Best. I broadcast from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, right in the centre of the country, and in fact very close to the geographic centre of North America.
I’ve always loved radio. I’ve been privileged to work in community radio here in Manitoba for several years, and I’m really excited to be one of the Fun Guys here on Mushroom FM!
In my day job, I’m a writer for our provincial government, and my education is in journalism, so whether it’s radio or the written word, I just love to interact with people, listen to and tell interesting stories.
About the Show
Ever wanted to live on easy street? Well now you can, at least for a couple of hours! Join me every Tuesday at 7 PM Eastern and again on Fridays at 7 AM Eastern, for two hours of easy favourites from the 50s, 60s and 70s, along with standards from the Great American Songbook, classic big band and instrumental tunes.
We’ll celebrate some artist birthdays, talk about the stories behind the songs and what the artists we’re playing are up to now. It’s a great way to relax, unwind and take a break from the stress of your day.
