A birthday present begins tonight on The Early Years on Mushroom FM

When you hear the dying strains of Van Halen's Happy Trails signalling the end of The birthday edition of the Mosen Explosion, don't touch your PC, your mobile device or your internet radio and join me in The Early Years because the birthday celebration continues.
Hello, I'm Steve Cutway. Before talking about tonight's show, I'd like to thank Mushroom FM fun guy, Bruce Toews, for filling in during my two week absence. I will be doing the same thing for him on Funny Fridays in May.
Tonight, the first part of a birthday present. Music from the week of Apr. 24, 1969, the day the founder and owner of Mushroom FM, Jonathan Mosen, was born. It's also Mushroom FM's 7th birthday.
What was on the Billboard chart this week in 1969? After a couple of my favourite songs, I'll be starting at #100 and working my way to #1. As that's more music than I can fit into a two-hour show, the countdown will continue next Sunday and probably the Sunday after that.
I'm going way beyond the gold for this show. You'll hear songs you may not have heard in a long time if at all, including at least one that you might not ever want to hear again.
You can contact me any time by e-mail at steve@mushroomfm.com with comments about tonight's show and suggestions for future shows.
So join me, Steve Cutway, as I continue the birthday party, in The Early Years, tonight at 6 PM Eastern, with an encore presentation Wednesday morning at 7 AM, only on Mushroom FM, the home of the fun guys, making four decades of magic mushroom memories!
