Announcing the MushroomFM Book Club

Love to read? Always wanted to be a part of a book club, but never had the time, or the club you joined was one of those—you know, Ivy Leaguers in tweed with their whiskey and cigars? Well, the fun guys at mushroomfm understand your dilemma and are launching the Fun Guys virtual book club. Coordinated by Brian Dalton and Bonnie Mosen, each month a presenter or listener will select a book which represents the diverse taste of Mushroom FM’s listeners and presenters. We'll let people know the name of each month's book via the usual Mushroom FM announcement channels. You'll have around a month to read it.
On the first Saturday of the month at noon EST 6:00 p.m. in the UK, Bonnie Mosen will host an online voice chat, where we invite readers to discuss and debate the book we've all been reading. Highlights of the discussion will be played on the BonAir show the following Tuesday. During the voice chat, we'll also announce the selection for the next month.
We are kicking off the book club with John Green’s award winning novel “The Fault in Our Stars”. So, now's the time to start reading, in advance of our first book club meeting in November. Grab your favourite e-reader, Braille display, or whatever your reading preference is and join the Fun Guys and book lovers around the world.
Be sure to watch our blog or announce list for details closer to the time about how to call our book club line or join the voice chat. You can also check out our book club page at mushroomfm.com/bookclub for links to the author’s page and where to find the book.
