Welcome to the Country Oasis here on Mushroom FM! Country music was some of the first music I ever truly discovered on my own at a young age, and although I've grown to love and appreciate many different types of music over the years, Country is still the music that I come back to over and over again. It's comfortable to me - kind of like an old pair of holey jeans that fit perfectly, even if you'd never dare to wear them out in public. So, it is for that reason that I decided to do a show full of my comfort music. I have a collection that spans over 60 years, so you may hear something from the 40s followed by something from today. Regardless of what I play though, I hope it'll be something that you appreciate as much as I do.

Christmas is Coming, and the Country Oasis Christmas Special is Alive and Well

That's right! I'll be returning to, once again, do my annual Country Christmas show this year. Anyone who has heard my previous Christmas shows knows that this is one of my absolute favorite shows to produce, and I didn't want to miss the opportunity to do this one again this year.

Do to travel plans over the holidays, this show will be pre-recorded, and aired at some point over the Christmas holiday. This is why I'm writing so early. If you've got any requests for the show, please email me at caroline@MushroomFM.com no later than December 9th. This will give me time to locate anything that I might not have, as well as record the show before I leave. Also, I'd like to make this show run for three hours rather than the traditional two hours that I normally had, so there's an entire extra hour for your requests.

Do you have any special Christmas memories that you'd like to share? Feel free to send me those too, and I'll get those on as well. Any special family traditions? I've even got a great story about myself going back to when I was about five years old. Yes, even I was that young once.
