Here's what's coming up this weekend on Mosen At Large. Let's hear what you think

Kia ora Mosen at largers. I’m writing from just outside beautiful Queenstown in New Zealand, where Bonnie and I have been having a great break. Still, As always I can’t wait to spend some time talking with you about all manner of things on the next show. Perhaps because I’ve been taking a break, I’ve been thinking about a lot of things this week. Here are a few things I’d be interested in hearing from you about.

Have your say ahead of this weekend's Mosen at Large. Mainstreaming versus schools for the blind. Which is best?

Kia ora everyone. Time flies, mate, and now for me it is flying with the help of a shiny new Apple Watch Series 6. If you’re considering upgrading your Apple Watch, or perhaps you’ve been holding off buying your first Apple Watch but there’s now enough to tantalise you into looking at one seriously, I’ll play you my Apple Watch unboxing on the show this week. I’ll demonstrate how you safely back up an old Apple Watch in preparation for the big transfer, and then we’ll set up the new watch.

Have your say ahead of this weekend's Mosen At Large, new Apple software, more on voting blind, audiobooks and Envision AI

Kia ora everyone. It’s going to be a pleasure to get your written or audio contributions for this week’s Mosen At Large.

Additional topics for Mosen at Large this weekend. Paying tribute to Charlie Crawford, and Internet radio freedom under threat

Hello again Mosen at Largers.

An update on what you will be able to hear on this weekend’s show. As well as the topics I mentioned a couple of days back, we have a couple more.

A message for our UK listeners regarding TuneIn support

Listeners in the UK have let us know that in the last 36 hours or so, Mushroom Fm and Mushroom Escape can't be heard using the TuneIn mobile app or through Alexa integration. We don't know but we expect it is affecting Google Assistant too.

Although the timing might suggest it, this is completely unrelated to internal changes we have been making here, and we are not the only Internet station to be affected by this problem.

Have your say ahead of this weekend's Mosen at Large. Voting blind, more on audiobooks, what will Apple reveal next week, and Envision AI

Kia ora everyone. It’s going to be a pleasure to get your thoughts for this week’s Mosen At Large. And as mentioned on last week’s show, if you make a contribution and mention that you’d like to be entered into the draw, you could win three months free membership to Libro.fm.

We’ve been getting more feedback on audiobooks, what makes a good and a bad narration, and whether you prefer audiobooks over Braille or TTS. You’re welcome to keep that conversation going.

Join us for a retirement party and a welcoming party as one chapter ends and another begins

Like many special events in Mushroom FM's history, the virtual meets reality as Mushroom FM relocates its cyber facilities to a new, purpose-built computer designed to serve us well into our second decade of entertaining you.

Join us on 09/09 as we switch off something old and switch on something brand new

When I was a kid, I was fascinated by any radio station making a change. Whether it was a move to a new studio, a change of frequency or a new format, I wanted to be there for the moment of the transition to see what it was like. I think many blind people who have grown up with a love of radio feel the same.

That’s why we’re making a bit of an occasion out of a big change at Mushroom FM.

Have your say for this week's Mosen At Large. You wouldn't read about it! Playing it by the audiobook

Kia ora everyone. As always I’m looking forward to the next time we get together for another episode of Mosen At Large.

Among other things, This week we’re going to be talking a lot about audiobooks. Understandably, many blind people love them and consume a lot of them. Will you share your audiobook wisdom with us?
